Louis XV-style CARTEL, 19th century Cartel with its console featuring Boulle marquetry of red-stained tortoiseshell and inlaid brass. Gilded bronze decoration; mascarons with women’s heads on the console. “Renommée” inscription on the upper part. Decorated with cherubs on the door. Cartouche dial with Roman numerals for the hours. Blued chiseled steel hands. Rectangular movement marked “B&G 4296.” Chime on a gong, Brocot-style blade suspension. Includes key and pendulum.
