PAIR OF LOUIS XVI-STYLE CABRIOLET CHAIRS A pair of oval-shaped cabriolet armchairs with molded, carved, and cream-lacquered wood; the slightly curved backs and waistbands are accented with fine moldings, and the armrests, featuring padded cuffs, rest on slightly recessed, sinuous console supports. The set rests on four tapered, fluted, and serrated legs, topped with connecting blocks adorned with carved rosettes. Traditional upholstery in jacquard or damask fabric featuring a pattern of stripes, garlands, and bouquets of flowers in shades of pink. France, 20th century; shows signs of normal wear.
