PAUL B. PASCAL (1832/39–1903/05) Arabian Horsemen Gouache on paper, signed lower right. Presented in a Dutch frame. Dimensions: 42 x 56 cm - A French landscape painter and Orientalist born in Toulouse, he studied at the School of Fine Arts in Madrid. He spent his youth in North Africa and began his career as a decorative painter in his hometown. Renowned for his views of the Orient, which he executed exclusively in gouache, he is believed to have died in Quebec City or Washington, D.C.
