LION WITH ARTICULATED LIMBS Dark-patina wood, metal pegs, quartz, and coral (?). Dimensions: 31 cm high, 46 cm long. Antique wooden toy depicting a lion with a long mane carved in relief; the eyes are made from quartz triangles and coral (?) buttons. The animal’s legs are articulated and assembled with metal pins. The muzzle is rounded and imposing, giving the animal a lifelike presence. In good overall condition. Research and documentation: Coryse Mwape – Art historian specializing in ancient African art.
