VIETNAM Richly carved wooden pagoda-style cabinet. The lower section opens with a glass door set in a carved and openwork frame that extends beyond the glass. The sides feature two curved shelves with a gallery. The column-like uprights are carved with coiled dragons. The upper section, shaped like a pagoda, is richly carved and openwork with dragons and lively landscapes. It opens with two hinged doors. The entire piece rests on a base carved with chimeras, bats, and naturalistic motifs. The base is arched with scrollwork. 20th century.
