112 - GÉOGRAPHIA

GÉOGRAPHIA An issue of the famous illustrated magazine devoted, among other topics, to the lost city of the Incas, the indigenous peoples of the Orinoco, the Northern Lights, and contemporary explorations. Richly illustrated with color and black-and-white photographs, this issue bears witness to the golden age of French geographical and ethnographic journalism. The feature articles on the Amerindian peoples of the Amazon and regions still largely unknown to the general public now serve as a fascinating documentary record of how distant peoples and territories were viewed in the mid-20th century.
