At the center is a circular medallion with columns and the motto "PLUS ULTRA", surmounted by the royal monogram. The central roundel bears the mottos "A la Lealtad Acrisolada" (To Proven Loyalty) and "Por Isabel la Católica". This is an important civil order of the Kingdom of Spain.
