Militaria: Revolutionary Wars – Consulate Period 1799–1800 / Army of Italy – Cornigliano (Genoa, Italy) / Military envelope marked “Very Urgent” addressed to General Victor (future Marshal of the Empire) / Exceptional General Staff wax seal featuring Liberty—The address inscription reads very clearly: “To General Victor at Cornigliano.” Major General Claude-Victor Perrin distinguished himself masterfully during this campaign, particularly during operations around Genoa and at the Battle of Marengo under Bonaparte’s command. The reverse side retains its magnificent, large original red wax seal, which remains intact. It features the official allegory of the French Republic (Liberty standing, holding her fasces and spear) surrounded by the circular motto of the republican military authority. An archival item of great historical value for collectors of the First Empire and the Italian Campaign.
