Militaria: WWI/World War I 1914–1918 - Rare Original Handwritten Order, 1916—Signed by Lieutenant Colonel de Lespinasse, 130th Territorial Regiment—Bois-la-Ville Sector, Verdun / Bois-le-Prêtre—Regimental Stamp - Lieutenant Colonel de Lespinasse summons one of his officers for a nighttime mission in a highly exposed sector of the front. The text states: “Second Lieutenant Cier is to go to Bois-la-Ville this evening to speak with the Lieutenant Colonel.” Bois-la-Ville (near the notorious Bois-le-Prêtre sector) was then the site of fortification work and dangerous supply runs under bombardment. The document bears a superb and very rare circular wet stamp in blue ink from the “130th Territorial Infantry Regiment—The Lieutenant Colonel.”
