Vichy, Bougarel, (circa 1850), large 8vo album, 2 pp. “Introduction”—29 pp. of text—15 plates. Publisher’s binding in wine-colored cloth, with embossed title and gilt lettering on the cover. - Spine faded. Foxing spots. Fifteen fine lithographs printed in two tones on a bistre background. Springs and thermal baths, Old Vichy, the “Maison Strauss,” Place Verrier, the Chaume Fountain... This is followed by three excursions in the vicinity of Vichy, featuring views of Cusset, the Moulin de Presle, the Goure Saillant, Billy, Randan... This beautiful album was printed in Moulins by Martial Place on heavy paper.
