Venetian artist, second half of the 17th century () Allegory of Charity Oil on canvas 93 x 134 cm. Framed The painting follows the traditional iconography of Charity as codified by Cesare Ripa in his *Iconologia*, depicting a woman in red surrounded by three children, one of whom is nursing at her breast. Stylistically, it belongs to the Venetian painting tradition of the second half of the seventeenth century, combining rich color with pronounced chiaroscuro, in a manner reminiscent of Antonio Zanchi and Antonio Molinari.
