Royal Gendarmerie officer’s saber. Handle covered in sheepskin with double brass filigree. 1816-model brass mount, pommel engraved with a fleur-de-lis, four-pronged crossguard, and curved quillon. Non-regulation officer’s blade engraved with trophies and foliage along one-third of its length. Antique red cloth sword knot. Iron sheet scabbard with two brass bands. Fine iron tip cut to a point. Length: 100.5 cm A.B.E. (Signs of normal wear). Restoration period.
