Bronze hilt with scales and a crossguard curved toward the tip; straight blade with a flat back engraved “Mfture Imple du Klingenthal Coulaux Frères,” featuring double hollow-ground edges and a small counter-cut on the blade, stamped with the marks of Marion and Bick. Length of the weapon: 71 cm A.B.E SF. Circa 1808–1810. An interesting model foreshadowing the 1816 artillery model.
