Rare Model 1887 test revolver, manufactured by the “St. Etienne Arms Factory,” six-shot, 8 mm caliber, double-action. Barrel stamped on the right side: “S. 1888”; on the left side: “R” and “C” in ovals; and engraved on the top: “Mle 1887”; the firing pin is mounted on the frame, stamped and marked on the right side: “Mre d’Armes St-Étienne” and numbered: “F 281.” Checkered walnut grip plates. White polished finish. Rifling present. Length: 24 cm B.E. Produced by the Manufacture in a run of approximately 1,000 pieces.
