NEPAL A set of six carved wooden phurbu with tops encircled by anthropomorphic faces, some crowned by a quadruped; the handles feature vajra and knots; the blades are carved with spirals and intertwined nagas, surmounted by the heads of birds of prey or praying figures. Included is a beautiful wooden phurbu (on a base), the top carved with protomes of roaring lions; the blade is adorned with intertwined nagas, and the face of the Adibuddha is engraved with celestial bodies and Devanagari syllables; the handle is tied with a ribbon. Height: 19 to 25.5 cm
