PAULHAN, Jean & MASSON, André. Les Hain-Teny: Original Etchings by André Masson. This volume was produced under the direction of Félia Léal for the Bibliophiles de l’Union Française; with Mme Léal and Alfred Abason serving as book curators, it was completed on October 31, 1956, in Paris, printed by Fequet and Baudier; the engravings were printed by Jacques and Robert Frélaut on Roger Lacourière’s presses. The copper plates were scraped after printing; all copies are signed by the Author, the Artist, and the President of the Society. 116 copies, 100 of which are numbered in Auvergne from Moulin Richard de Bas No. 1 to 100, and 16 from No. I to XVI reserved for the book’s contributors; this volume is specifically dedicated to *Les Archives des Moulins à Papier du Val de Laga*. Illustrated with 19 etchings: 10 etchings outside the text, including a full-page cover, and 10 vignettes for titles and half-titles. A few stains inside, at the bottom of a few leaves. Large folio in loose-leaf format, bound cover, case decorated with black, brown, and white motifs on the covers; parchment spine printed with the title in gold; slipcase decorated with the same motif. Small tear in the upper left corner of the title page. Small tear in the upper left corner of page 81/82. Pages slightly yellowed with slight wavy creases. Page 79/80 (text) is missing.
