PROVENANCE: Private collection, Bologna. This fresco, dated 2002, belongs to the early years of Nicola Samorì’s artistic exploration, which was already oriented toward an intense confrontation between image, material, and the erosion of the surface. The figure is not treated as a simple portrait, but as a presence that emerges and recedes, according to a tension that would become central to the artist’s work. A silkscreen print was also produced from this work, confirming the image’s independent power.
