304 - M1895 spiked helmet from the 15th Alsatian Transport Battalion. Leather helmet shell, not re-punched. Plate securely attached and stamped into the shell, so it has not been removed. Spike base originally attached; spike is unscrewable, as required for the Transport Battalion. Good chinstrap, good Reich cockade. State cockade missing. Neck guard clearly marked TXV, 3C, date illegible. Helmet in its original condition, untouched. M1895 pickelhaube of the 15th Alsatian Train Battalion. Leather skullcap without additional holes. Front plate firmly attached and marked on the inside of the skull, indicating it has not been removed. Original spike base, with a removable spike as prescribed for the Train. Correct chinstrap and Reich cockade. State cockade missing. Neck guard clearly marked TXV, 3C, date illegible. Untouched helmet in as-found condition.
