(182.2 x 101 cm) Property from The Estate of Arthur Schleifer, Jr., Boston, Massachusetts This lot is located in Philadelphia. Framed: 74 x 42 x 3 in. The unlined canvas is in overall good condition. The surface is variable and has some craquelure in the thickly painted areas. There are several scattered losses to the surface, with a larger area of pigment loss at top center in two places, the larger approx. 1/4 in. square. In this area there is a slight lifting to the surface as well. There are other losses at bottom center and bottom right. The bottom left corner also has wear and loss of pigment. On verso there is also scattered staining. There is no evidence of restoration under UV light. Additional images available upon request. Provenance: Gallery Saidenberg, New York, 1972.
