Ricardo Martínez (Mexican, 1918-2009) Mujer con Vaso, 1959 oil on canvas signed Ricardo Martínez and dated (lower left); titled (on the stretcher) 41 1/4 x 31 1/2 in. (104.8 x 80 cm) This lot is located in Philadelphia. Framed: 43 x 33 x 2 in. The unlined canvas is slightly loose on the stretcher and has a few areas of loss. There is an approx. 1 in. vertical slit in the canvas with associated surface losses at the bottom right, and two smaller horizontal slits at bottom left. There are other larger surface losses at top right and center right, as well as indentations to the canvas throughout. There are several drips of surface soiling at the top center, including in the figure's face, at top right corner and at bottom center. Additional images available upon request.
