Conrad Felixmüller "Salut für Heinrich Hoffmann" Woodcut 74/100 Conrad Felixmüller, 21.05.1897 Dresden - 24.04.1977 Berlin-Zehlendorf, began as an Expressionist committed to the proletarian cause, became a Realist and remained faithful throughout his life to his original humanistic artistic aims. Numerous exhibitions, particularly in the 1970s, brilliantly rehabilitated the painter after his previous unjust underestimation. The woodcut was hand-printed by Sjoerd Braber, `s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands. Paper: handmade Japanese Inshu-Kozu 60g/sqm. After printing, Mrs Londa Felixmüller, née v. Berg, presented the woodcut to the Heinrich-Hoffmann-Museum, where it is permanently exhibited. From Edition No. 1 of the Heinrich-Hoffmann-Museum publishing house for the opening of the museum in Frankfurt am Main on 14 July 1977; number 74 of 100; passe-partout dimensions approximately 59 x 42 cm.
