Clément MÈRE (in the style of) Sideboard in Macassar ebony veneer with a curved quadrangular body and a stepped top featuring a high band ornamented with small Bakelite plaques; it opens via two solid doors on the front inlaid with four volutes surrounding a medallion ofcarved ivory with a stylized floral design on a background enhanced with gilding and a lower band decorated with Greek frets. Interior features two long, height-adjustable shelves. Corner base with tubular legs set back from the body, featuring beveled sides ending in metal feet. Metal lock plate decorated with stylized flowers. Height: 92.5 cm - Length: 150 cm - Depth: 46 cm (re-varnished, minor restorations, dents and small chips, scratches, oxidation on the metal) Provenance: former Michel Souillac collection, Paris.
