Writing table. China, Qing Dynasty, 19th century. Teak and mahogany. Signed on the back of a drawer. Metal hardware and handles. Requires treatment against xylophagous. Wear and tear. Needs refinishing. Some flaws. Measurements: 86 x 152 x 76 cm. Chinese desk with a singular design, belonging to the Qing Dynasty. The natural beauty of the wood used is enhanced and integrated in a functional design. Six drawers (with circular handles inserted in its front with great expressive economy) are symmetrically distributed, and are accompanied by two more registers destined to shelter stationery: under the pair of shelves of the middle level there is still a third level, the lowest, consisting of a fine tracery. This is developed with triangular motif patterns that alternate on the sides with balusters placed in parallel. Requires treatment against xylophages. Wear and tear. Needs to be reworked. Some faults.
