F. LAVASTRE (France, 19th century) "The hunt of the leopard", 1853. Patinated copper relief. Signed in the lower right corner. Measurements: 32 x 27 x 3 cm. Copper plafond with high relief representing a hunting scene in which three horsemen chase a herd of leopards. The composition is dynamic, showing foreshortened bodies in a variety of postures and torsions, combining high relief for the definition of the bodies with bas-relief in the details of the landscape in the background.
