Marzio Rusconi Clerici Shakti Wall 120 Pair of large wall sconces Laser-cut Plexiglas tubular diffuser, shown here in fuchsia and white. Their slender shape produces diffused light at both ends Kundalini Edition Year of creation: 2002 H120 L17 D12 cm A Milan-based design studio founded in the late 1990s, Kundalini has made colored light and organic forms its signature, drawing on Indian spiritual vocabulary: in the Tantric tradition, “kundalini” and “shakti” refer to vital energy and the feminine creative principle. Designed by Marzio Rusconi Clerici in 2002, the Shakti Wall sconces feature a 1.2-meter-long, laser-cut Plexiglas tubular diffuser that produces diffused light at both ends. The fuchsia and white finish accentuates their graphic presence. A spectacular pair, representative of Italian lighting design from the 2000s.
