Various formats ranging from approx. 13 x 18 to 20 x 25 cm, primarily large-format. Includes numerous photographs of political occasions and events in West Germany, party conventions, demonstrations (Krupp Rheinhausen, against nuclear waste transports), numerous portraits (politicians, GDR civil rights activists, actors, writers, athletes, politicians, etc.), as well as coverage of international news and foreign policy (Israel, Palestine, South Lebanon, hostage crisis in Cuba, prison riot by Cubans in Atlanta, ETA car bomb attack, oil spill in Pennsylvania, election-related violence in Haiti), natural disasters, film, television, theater, art, carnival, technology, trade fairs, and much more. - The reverse side usually bears the DPA copyright stamp and printed explanatory text about the subjects. - Among them are a few, mostly smaller, color prints. - A few prints are stuck together; the older prints are mostly warped and some (mostly on the reverse) are stained; some corners are bumped and creased; overall, they are in fairly good condition.
