Framed with a mat and glass (unframed) Inscribed on the original. Printed on lightweight cardboard, based on an oil painting by the artist. Alongside Hohlwein, Wiertz was one of the most prominent commercial artists of his time. Both his travel posters and his Kaloderma advertisements rank among the iconic German posters of the 1920s and 1930s. Less well-known is his work as a painter, although this, too, is of high quality and clearly bears the mark of the poster artist. The motif of a female skier offered here excellently captures the dynamism of skiing. Color poster. Offset. - Inscribed on the panel. - Good.
