Heini Riitahuhta Hexagon Jar Forestflower Hexagonal jar with lid High-temperature-fired stoneware, body-stained, gray with a hint of lilac; screen print / monotype, hand-printed and hand-cut Signed H 9.3 L 10.5 D 9.3 cm With its title, “Forestflower,” this jar evokes the Finnish woodlands that fuel Heini Riitahuhta’s imagination. Here, the color does not come from glaze but from the clay itself, dyed throughout a slightly lilac-tinged gray, which provides a soft backdrop for the hand-printed and hand-cut designs. The hexagonal shape with a lid makes it both a practical and decorative item, perfect for a desk or nightstand.
