Javier Gomez Marble Collection Nesting Coffee Tables Marble Year of creation: 2023 H30 L150 P150 cm Invented in the 18th century by English cabinetmakers, nesting tables fit inside one another to save space and can be expanded as needed. Javier Gomez adapts this principle to marble, a dense material that gives the set a mineral and monumental presence, despite its height being limited to thirty centimeters. Spanning one meter fifty, the tabletops can be stacked or spread out, creating a modular arrangement at the heart of a living room. The stone’s veining brings the flat surfaces to life. A piece that is both functional and sculptural.
