303 - Simone Negri

Simone Negri Accadimento #221 Sculpture Porcelain stoneware and blue glaze 2026 H48 L18 P14 cm Among the most recent pieces in the series, this No. 221 features a vertical, slender silhouette reminiscent of a stalagmite or a stele. Simone Negri makes full use of the qualities of porcelain stoneware—which is both dense and fine—to preserve the sharpness of the edges created by the artist’s hand. The blue glaze, accumulating in the recesses and thinning out on the raised areas, creates a range of hues that brings the surface to life. A medium-sized freestanding sculpture that offers an accessible introduction to the ceramicist’s work.
