Cogolin Carpet Manufactory Artuby Mimosa Model Carpet Woven wool L144 W70 cm In good to very good condition, with slight signs of wear. Since 1924, the Manufacture de Cogolin has been crafting exceptional rugs based on designs by renowned creators such as André Arbus, Christian Bérard, and India Mahdavi. From the village in the Var region that gives it its name, the Cogolin Carpet Manufactory carries on a weaving tradition that captivated the great interior designers of the 20th century—from André Arbus to Christian Bérard—and today attracts designers such as India Mahdavi. Its rugs are recognizable by their tight weave and bold colors, often inspired by Provençal landscapes. The Artuby Mimosa model combines the name of a river in the Verdon Gorges with that of the emblematic tree of the Var coast. Bibliography / documentation: Serge Gleizes, Tapis d’artisanat d’art.
