Karine Benvenutti (1959) Untitled Sculpture Ceramic 2022 H27 L38 P11 cm and H20 L20 P12 cm This 2022 sculpture consists of two elements of different sizes, whose shallow depth—about ten centimeters—encourages a frontal view, almost like that of a bas-relief. Karine Benvenutti explores the relationship between two volumes that respond to one another, as if in a silent dialogue. Whether displayed side by side or slightly apart, they form a kind of installation in which the space between them is an integral part of the work. A recent example of sculptural ceramics, attentive to restraint and the balance of masses.
