H14 L14 D14 cm Like new Galuchat—leather from stingrays or sharks with a fine natural grain—enjoyed considerable popularity in the decorative arts of the 1920s and 1930s, thanks to designers such as Jean-Michel Frank, André Groult, and Clément Rousseau, who used it to upholster furniture and precious objects. Brought back into the spotlight by contemporary interior design—notably by Christian Liaigre—it combines refinement and simplicity. This cubic wall sconce captures that spirit: the galuchat, accented with brass, adds texture and warmth to a design stripped down to the essentials. A delicate piece in very good condition.
