Grond Studio Baptist Chair Lime, plaster, and pigment 2023 H20 L23 P23 cm In the Baptist chair, cast plaster incorporates marble chips, much like handcrafted terrazzo. This mixture gives the surface a speckled appearance, with fragments of stone rising to the surface as the plaster sets, ensuring that each piece features a unique pattern. Grond Studio thus combines a humble material with a noble one, as part of an effort to make the most of scraps and basic materials. A small, low seat that straddles the line between a stool, a footrest, and a sculptural object.
