ABSID Pipe 3 Sculpture Black mahogany Limited edition Date of creation: 2020 H59 L32 D34 cm Titled “Pipe,” this series explores sculpture through a tubular form—the quintessential industrial element—transposed into wood. The choice of black mahogany—a dense wood with a tight grain—gives the piece a deep, dark surface that absorbs light and accentuates the interplay of volumes. This dialogue between a form derived from plumbing and a noble material used in cabinetmaking is what makes the object so compelling.
