Robin Grugeaux Lighthouse Sculpture Pewter Handcrafted cast metal 2025 H17 L5cm Inspired by the work of Francesco Somaini, an Italian sculptor of the Informel movement who used torn and cast metal as a medium for expression, this small vertical sculpture evokes, through its title, the silhouette of a lighthouse. Robin Grugeaux works with hand-cast pewter—an ancient metal with a soft gray hue—that retains the traces of the mold and the artist’s touch. The piece’s slender verticality, just five centimeters wide, gives it the presence of a small monument.
