Simone Negri Occurrence #190 Wall sculpture Stoneware and black ceramic pigment Date of creation: 2025 H48 L32 P8 cm In this wall piece, Simone Negri replaces glaze with a black ceramic pigment, which penetrates the surface of the stoneware without covering it. The material thus remains visible, with its grain and imperfections, while the black unifies the composition. The principle of the series remains the same: the form arises from a single action performed on the clay, then set by firing. Hung on the wall, the work reads like a monochrome relief, in the tradition of Italian materialist painting. A recent piece, in an intermediate format.
