Anonymous, in the style of Emilio Terry and Gilbert Poillerat Neoclassical lamp Metal with antique green and gold patina Inscription “G.K. 29” on the base. Circa 1940 With lampshade: H71 L46 cm; without lampshade: H48 L20 cm. Good original condition; traces of oxidation visible in the photos. In 1940s France, some interior designers turned away from modernism to reconnect with antiquity and the 18th century, reinterpreted with imagination and economy. Emilio Terry, architect of the “Louis XVII Style,” and metalworker Gilbert Poillerat were leading figures in this movement. This lamp echoes that aesthetic: antique green patina, gilded accents, and a classical design. It can also be compared to the creations of Marc du Plantier, Jean-Charles Moreux, or André Arbus.
