Garouste & Bonetti Box Bronze Blome Edition 1994 H8.5 L7 cm In very good original condition Working together from 1981 to 2001, Élizabeth Garouste and Mattia Bonetti made a name for themselves from the very beginning with their “Barbarian” furniture, which broke with functionalism and returned to raw materials and archaic forms. In 1987, they designed the interior of the Christian Lacroix fashion house, which cemented their reputation. This bronze box, produced in 1994, encapsulates their design language on a human scale: a precious, slightly irregular object where patina and form take precedence over geometry. A piece representative of French design from the 1980s and 1990s, alongside the work of Philippe Starck and Olivier Gagnère.
