*Mario Ceroli (born in 1938) Mobili Nella Valle Pair of chairs Pine Poltronova edition Date of design: 1970 Date of production: circa 1990 H192 W60 D50 cm Additional fees: reduced VAT rate of 5.5% With their backs measuring nearly two meters, these chairs resemble totems as much as they do seats. Mario Ceroli, a leading figure in the Roman art scene of the 1960s, transposes the language of his installations into raw pine: assembled planks, cut-out profiles, and exposed wood. The “Mobili nella Valle” series, produced by Poltronova, carries on the spirit of radical Italian design, where furniture becomes a manifesto and a theatrical set. This pair, produced around 1990 based on a 1970 design, retains all the graphic power of the silhouette.
