*Mario Ceroli (born in 1938) Sequoia Rolling Table Pine Poltronova Edition Date of creation: circa 1990 H25 L147 P127 cm Additional charges: reduced VAT rate of 5.5% Like his sculptures, Mario Ceroli’s furniture is crafted from assembled pine planks left in their natural state, with the grain and knots becoming an integral part of the work. Sequoia, named after the giant tree, features a low, wide profile that gives it the appearance of a fragment of a tree trunk. The casters add an unexpected touch of mobility to a piece with such a massive presence. Produced by Poltronova, it reflects the ongoing collaboration between the artist and the Tuscan furniture house, twenty years after his first pieces of furniture.
