*Mario Ceroli (born in 1938) La Rosa dei Venti Table Pine and metal Poltronova Edition Brand-marked on the base: “CeroliPoltronova” Date of creation: 1973 H75 D165 cm Additional fees: reduced VAT rate of 5.5% A sculptor active in the Roman art scene of the 1960s, with affinities to Pop Art and Arte Povera, Mario Ceroli made raw pine—often Russian pine—his material of choice. In the early 1970s, he designed a collection of sculptural pine furniture for Poltronova, the Tuscan publisher of radical design (Sottsass, Archizoom, Superstudio). The “Rosa dei Venti” is one of its flagship models: a circular tabletop measuring over 1.6 meters, whose structure evokes a compass rose. The “CeroliPoltronova” brand mark authenticates the original edition.
