Jiri Kolar – Americka Krajina (American Landscape) Americka Krajina (American Landscape) Collage on wood. 1970. 40.2 x 53 cm. Signed, dated, titled, and marked “Napoleon – E.P. – Konserva – Zebra” on the reverse. (26) A collage that appears somewhat monochromatic at first glance, assembled from countless English-language text snippets of identical typography and font size, in which the viewer’s eye can scarcely find its bearings. - Mounted on a hardwood panel. - Apparently very well preserved in a shadow-joint frame. 40.2 x 53 cm Jiri Kolar (Protivin, Czech Republic, 1914 – 2002, Prague)
