“ARMAN,” ARMAND PIERRE FERNANDEZ (Nice, 1928 – New York, 2005). “Violin and Clefs.” Lithograph, E.A. edition. Signed and numbered in pencil. Measurements: 76 x 56 cm. Arman was one of the leading figures of New Realism, an artistic movement that emerged in the 1960s as a response to consumer society and industrial expansion. Trained in Nice and at the École du Louvre, Arman was associated with artists such as Yves Klein, Christo, and Mimmo Rotella, with whom he founded the New Realism movement.
