Based on Banksy’s “Anarchy Rat” Drawing inspiration from this iconic work, Terán creates his own “Tribute to Banksy,” transferring a motif born in the realm of urban art onto canvas. The change in medium is particularly significant: the image, originally conceived to be part of the urban landscape, takes on a new status here as a pictorial and collectible object. Terán’s “Tribute to the Geniuses” series is built precisely on this idea of a dialogue between artists from different eras.
