The “Richard Watch Co.” (often referred to as Richard SA) was a Swiss luxury goods and watch company founded in 1943 by Robert Richard in Morges. It became known primarily for selling high-quality watches, fountain pens, and pipes. The company operated mainly as a luxury retailer, maintaining a network of 14 branches across Switzerland (including Geneva, Lausanne, Zurich, and Bern). Although the company did not manufacture its own watches, it marketed well-made wristwatches and chronographs under the names Richard or Richard Automatic, some of which were equipped with ETA or Valjoux movements. In 1978, during the Quartz Crisis, the company was acquired by Longines. Case: very good, worn. Dial: very good, slightly oxidized. Movement: very good, in working order, cleaning recommended.
