Dial: Gilded, applied hour markers, small seconds sub-dial, German day, date, and month indicators, gold alpha-shaped hands. Movement: Manual-winding. The Omega Cosmic brings fresh inspiration to the watchmaking industry and represents one of the most sophisticated Swiss inventions: the calendar watch. The Cosmic’s classic design is always impressive, whether in a square or round case. The dial offers a surprising array of functions, such as a calendar with German day and month displays and a moon phase display. Gilded arrow hour markers, alpha hands, and a blue date hand ensure perfect readability: The warm 18-karat gold case features a chamfered bezel with beautifully rounded lugs—the so-called Geneva lugs—and embodies the aesthetics and style of the early 1950s. The elegance continues on the inside with an attractive rose gold movement and caliber 27DLPC (caliber 381 after 1949). This yellow gold Cosmic is in exquisite condition, featuring an extremely attractive, evenly patinated, almost pumpkin-colored dial with golden accents. The case is in excellent condition, and the gold hallmarks are clearly visible. A wonderful piece for the experienced connoisseur. Case: very good, slightly worn. Dial: very good, slightly oxidized. Movement: very good, in working order, cleaning recommended.
