Longines - Nonius (*) A rare, highly attractive vintage wrist chronograph with a Nonius chronograph hand Movement No. 50209168, Ref. 8271-1, Cal. 330/Valjoux 72, Case No. 15762545, Dimensions 38 x 41 mm, circa 1970, Origin: Switzerland Case: Steel, screw-down back. Dial: Silvered. Movement: Manual-winding. The Longines Nonius chronograph is a very striking model—it features a unique, patented “Nonius hand” that enables accurate 1/10th-second timing intervals using the Vernier principle. The large, pillow-shaped steel case with mineral glass is equipped with two round chronograph pushers and concealed lugs. The case is in very good overall condition with no wear along the edges and clearly visible deep engraving on the back. The watch has a hand-wound caliber and a matte silvered dial accented by a recessed black sub-dial for the 30-minute counter; the chronograph hand is orange. Case: very good, showing signs of wear. Dial: very good. Movement: very good, in working order, cleaning recommended.
