Dial: Gilded. Movement: Automatic. The Zenith Captain is an exceptional vintage automatic watch with chronometer certification. The watch was launched in 1957. The “Space Age”-style case, with its high-gloss polished finish, captivates with its extraordinary appearance and, due to its domed shape, is affectionately known as “la tortue” (the tortoise), as it resembles a tortoise shell. The silver-plated dial features faceted, sparkling steel hour markers. The date window is located between the 4 and 5 o’clock positions, and the hands are made of polished steel with a black insert. The watch is powered by the high-quality Zenith Caliber 2542 PC, an automatic movement with chronometer certification. Case: very good, slightly worn. Dial: very good.
