Movado - Datron HS 360 Sub-Sea (*) A rare vintage wrist chronograph with date, featuring the legendary high-frequency automatic 3019 PHC chronograph movement Ref. 434-705-502, Cal. 3019 PHC, Dimensions 37 x 42 mm, circa 1970, Origin: Switzerland Case: Steel, screw-down back, Movado winding crown. Dial: Blue, gray sub-dials, gray tachymeter scale, applied tritium luminous hour markers, tritium luminous hands. Movement: Automatic. In the late 1960s and early 1970s, the company was owned by the Movado-Zenith-Mondia holding company. Being part of this alliance gave Movado access to Zenith’s now legendary 3019 PHC “El Primero” caliber—which is found inside this watch, the only difference being that Movado engraved its own name and logo on the winding rotor. Caliber 3019PHC is an automatic chronograph movement from Zenith. Released in 1969, this was one of the first automatic chronographs ever made and gave rise to the entire El Primero movement family. This particular example is in excellent original condition and is a perfect addition to any vintage chronograph collection. Case: very good, slightly worn. Dial: very good. Movement: very good, in working order, cleaning recommended. Please note that leather straps made from endangered or protected species—such as alligator, crocodile, or lizard—are used in our catalog or on our website for illustrative purposes only. For customs-related reasons, such straps cannot be shipped outside the EU.
